About Alstair
Alstair was born in Indonesia on April the 2nd, 1986, as Alstair Bharata Kristamuljana. He is almost six years older than his little brother and remains as the eldest in the grand family. As an infant, he had often traveled and lived abroad as he followed his parents for their educational purposes. Nevertheless, he is proud of BPK Penabur–Tirta Marta as the school where he spent most of his teenage education.
Alstair obtained his bachelor degree in International Business Administration program with a prominent thesis dissertation in International Finance from RSM Erasmus University in just a three-year period. Besides the academic life, his passion for organizational activities plays a considerable role. He was an administrative deputy of Indonesian Students Association in the Netherlands. Subsequently, he was in charge of the Indonesian Students Association in Rotterdam as its vice chairman and currently remains as its advisory board member. Recently, he is also involved in the social team for Scottish International Church in Rotterdam.
In May 2007, he was selected for a Master of Science degree in CEMS International Management and currently pursuing the program. The CEMS program itself is an exclusive European master program which requires a decent academic achievement, an extracurricular involvement, and third language proficiency. CEMS program is highly ranked and taught by 17 of the Europe’s leading business schools. It combines the international management studies and the network with corporate partners. As the only Indonesian in the program, he is looking forward to representing Indonesia at the international level.
His journey in Warsaw (Poland) from February to June 2008 has ended with a memorable experience in which he was exposed to projects with McKinsey and Company and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Furthermore, in June 2008, he joined the Investment Banking Arm of Royal Bank of Scotland (former ABN AMRO) in Amsterdam HQ for a summer analyst position.
Currently, Alstair is back with his academic life and aiming to finish his master thesis in December 2008. He is looking forward for the full time position at Royal Bank of Scotland following his graduation in February 2009.
